Commonly Mistaken Item Properties

In order to use the items properly, you must go through the item tooltips which are essentially the item manuals.

We've prepared this additional information for Rookies who are still confused about the item properties after reading the tooltips.

Item Tradability

Trades within Vindictus are either between accounts, or within the same account.

Trade between accounts: trade via Marketplace and Mail

Trade within account: trade between characters within the same account / trade via Shared Storage and mail

Let's take a look at the item trade properties.

Item Bind Properties

Even if an equipment is tradable, it cannot be traded once it is bound to a character.

In this case, you can Unbind the item to make it tradable again.

When the item is bound to a character, you can use the Unbind Potion to change its bind property.

However, the bind property cannot be changed unlimitedly. Each item can generally be unbound up to 3 times.

Bind level refers to the amount of Unbind Potions required to unbind. This quantity will vary depending on the item's properties.

If you add up the required Unbind Increase Potion quantities appropriate to the item's properties, you can calculate the bind level.

Use the Additional Unbinding Coupon to increase the remaining unbind count above the 3x that's provided (as default, per item).

However, there are item conditions that the coupon needs to meet before being used. Please check the item tooltips.

How to use Airtight/Box items

There are items in Vindictus that include "Airtight" or "Box" keywords on their names.

Put simply, just think of them as items inside a box.

Airtight/Box items that can only be shared within the account

Airtight/Box items that can be shared within the account, can be shared by account mail or Shared Storage.

However, there are items that can no longer be traded once you claim the contents within the boxes.

You should only open those Airtight/Box items as characters that will actually use the items in question.

Airtight/Box items that are tradable (1x) and that can use the Shared Storage

There are Airtight/Box items that can be traded in the marketplace once, and shared to other characters within the account via Shared Storage.

These items can no longer be traded, if you store them in the Shared Storage.

Thus, please take caution before using the Shared Storage for items with this property.

Airtight/Box items that bind to the character if purchased at the Marketplace

If you purchase an Airtight/Box item that can only be traded once, at the Marketplace, you can no longer trade them on the Marketplace.
