Crafting and Advancement

■ Crafting

You can increase your Proficiency in an Expertise by crafting related items. To craft items, visit an Expertise Training Stall.

You can view a list of craftable items on the left side of the screen.

When you click on a craftable item, the required materials for crafting will be displayed on the right side of the screen.

If you have all the required materials, you can press the 'Craft' button below to craft the item.

You can choose how many items to craft based on the amount of materials you have.

The crafting time varies depending on the item and your proficiency. Once crafting is complete, the item will be created, and your Proficiency will increase.

  • Items have a set amount of proficiency required to craft them, and which items you can craft depends on your current proficiency. (Items that cannot be crafted are displayed in red text.)
  • Your Proficiency increases as you craft items, and the value gained varies depending on your current Proficiency.
  • By searching under Marketplace > Crafting Materials > Expertise, you can find the item you wish to craft and view both the required materials and any items listed on the marketplace at the same time.
  • By clicking the 'Purchase Materials' button next to Expertise Crafting, you can easily buy the required materials from the 'Traveling Market'.

■ Advancement

As your Expertise Proficiency increases, you can advance to the next level.

Advancement Story Scrolls can be purchased at the Materials Shop of each Expertise NPC.

  • After reaching Proficiency level 399 in a Pro-level Expertise, visit the Strange Traveler in Colhen to take the advancement test through the "High Expertise Artisan" story.

Each character can advance only one Expertise to Artisan level.

  • If you wish to promote a different Expertise to Artisan level, you can demote your current Artisan Expertise back to Professional and retake the Advancement Test through the Strange Traveler.
Stage Proficiency Quest
Beginner 0-99 -
Apprentice 100-199 Advancement Test: Apprentice (Expertise Name)
Journeyman 200-350 Advancement Test: Journeyman (Expertise Name)
Professional 351-399 Advancement Test: Professional (Expertise Name)
Artisan 400-449 High Expertise Artisan
  • Depending on the region, you can obtain Beginner, Apprentice, Journeyman, and Professional-level materials used in Expertise crafting.

■ Expertise Sharing

If another character in your account already has an Expertise with high Proficiency, you can craft items through [Character window (C) > Talent > Shared Expertise].

  • If multiple characters in your account have learned the same Expertise, the highest Proficiency and all recipes will be displayed.
  • [Shared Expertise] displays the combined Expertise of all characters in your account, excluding [My Skills].

Through Shared Expertise, all characters in your account can use Expertise at the highest Proficiency.

However, when crafting items using recipes that are available only through [Shared Expertise], your Proficiency will not increase.

  • Shared Expertise and recipes are marked with an [*] symbol, and crafting items will not increase your Expertise Proficiency.
  • Artisan level Recipe Scrolls cannot be used with a Shared Expertise.
    • The character attempting to use the Recipe Scroll must have learned the corresponding Artisan-level Expertise.
