Developer Comment: The current lack of motivation for character progression in the game, which has been noted by many of our players, is something that resonates strongly with the development team. We're fixing the issues below, which seem to be the most pressing of the many causes.
ATT Surplus and ADD DMG limits were placed as a means to prevent characters being too overpowered in lower-level battles, harming the action-aspect of the game by killing the monster in one hit, etc. We have determined this limitation to be serving the game negatively at this point of time and have decided to remove it. We could not remove the limit on all battles, but we removed the ATT Surplus and ADD DMG limits from battles that are frequently played so that you can fully experience your character's leveling progress. We will monitor how this affects the game over time and respond appropriately so that you are not inconvenienced.
Also, the "Royal Castle Topaz Hall" battle's loot value is currently set higher than its entry difficulty. This is due to what the dev team predicted for the Lv. 115 Expansion, where the values of the Superior Enhancement Elixir, Orna Materials, and new materials differ from the market values that are currently in place. We've adjusted the drop rate of the Superior Enhancement Elixir as the first step because we believe that designing battles that require higher stats to earn more rewards is a better way to incentivize leveling your character and a better way to support the game's economic cycle. In the future, we will take more fundamental measures to provide a healthy structure where higher difficulty battles yield more rewards.
Additionally, players can enter the Quick Battle of Royal Castle Topaz Hall after equipping the supply equipment and jumping over some low hurdles. This is weakening character progression excessively. We've adjusted the entry stats for Quick Battles to provide appropriate progression goals for new players and allow them to progressively enter higher level battles as they reach those goals. |
2. Character Balance Adjustment
Developer Comment: This character balance adjustment has been based on the data collected when completing the new raid battle via circuit mode, as well as the data collected when completing the Usurper's Fortress. After the simulation (assuming that each player was equipped with the best gear for each battle completed) we collected frequency and intensity data for each skill. Based on this data, we compared the DPS of skilled players with each weapon to determine which characters needed adjustments. The reason we balanced based on skilled players' DPS is that we wanted to avoid unreasonable situations. For example, if your character would have a lower DPS output than another character, even if you were able to get suitable performance out of yours. Due to the nature of combat and the individuality of each character, it would be very difficult to make all characters perform equally well in every battle. Even if it were possible to do so, we believe that it would kill the individuality of each character. However, we'll continue to make adjustments to ensure that the variance in character performance is not so great that equipment and controls could not overcome any innate disadvantages. |
■ Delia
- Increased the damage of the following attacks by 8.7%:
- Rising Comet
- Increased the damage of the following attacks by 10%:
- Active: Ion Thrust
- Increased the damage of the following attacks by 7%:
- Falling Comet
Developer Comment: Delia's raiding abilities are slightly below average, but we feel her raiding strengths outside of damage are adequate to offset this. However, due to the nature of this character, her weaknesses are more pronounced compared to others against bosses that require a lot of movement, as well as in battles in the Usurper's Fortress where she is demonstrating bottom-of-the-barrel performance. We're buffing the damage of her main attack skills but giving a larger buff to Active: Ion Thrust, which is utilized more frequently in Usurper's Fortress. |
■ Vella - Twin Chainblades
- Increased the damage of the following attacks by 5%:
- Icebreaker
- Active: Glacial Strike
- Active: Blade Dance
- Increased the damage of the following attacks by 2%:
- Hailstorm
Developer Comment: The Twin Chainblades Vella demonstrates around average performance in circuit raid battles, but she is struggling to show good performance in Emmett or Usurper's Fortress. We believe this is because she is a character with damage cycles that are heavily skewed toward Hailstorm, leading her to suffer a greater loss of DPS than other characters when bosses move around a lot or are hard to hit consistently. To compensate, we're increasing the damage of some of the more utilized skills in Usurper's Fortress, while also slightly increasing the damage of Hailstorm to improve her overall DPS. |
■ Arisha - Spellsword
- Increased the damage of the following attacks by 6%:
- Arcane Flurry
- Active: Temporal Shift
- Increased the damage of the following attacks by 5%:
- Active: Resonance
Developer Comment: While Arisha is known to perform very well with the Longblade, we've observed her to be average in Usurper's Fortress, and rather weak in circuit raid battles. Therefore, we are buffing some skills' damage so that she can perform better in circuit raid battles. |
■ Lethor
- Increased the damage of the following attacks by 8%:
- Active: Tiger Claw
- Active: Lightning Fall
- Active: Aura Burst Rampage
- Reduced cooldown of Active: Tiger Claw
- 30 sec -> 25 sec
Developer Comment: Lethor has been performing at a slightly above average level in Usurper's Fortress, due to the character's high damage output from counterattacks. However, she has been struggling in circuit raids. To address this, we're increasing the damage of SP skills and reducing the cooldowns of some SP skills. We expect that reducing the cooldowns of SP skills will be more effective in increasing DPS in circuit raids than in the long-running Raids and Space-Time Distortion battles. |
■ Dan-Ah
- Increased the damage of the following attacks by 8%:
- Soul Tracer
- Active: Penitent Slash
- Increased the damage of the following attacks by 10%:
- Curse Breaker
- Final Gate: Ascendance
- Final Gate: Unleashed
- Active: Ritual of Ending
■ Belle
- Increased the damage of the following attacks by 10%:
- Deforestation
- Rushing River
- Increased the damage of the following attacks by 15%:
- Broken Cleft
- Gaping Chasm
■ Evie - Staff
- Increased the damage of the following attacks by 5%:
- Active: Rage Conductor
- Active: Fire Storm
- Active: Ice Spear
- Active: Lightning Wave
- Increased the damage of the following attacks by 8%:
- Active: Fire Shock
- Active: Ice Blow
- Active: Guided Lightning
■ Evie - Battle Scythe
- Increased the damage of the following attacks by 5%:
- Blade Shift
- Dimensional Loom
- Soul Skewer
- Active: Void Star
- Increased the damage of the following attacks by 8%:
- Bloody Thread (release)
- Mark of Death (release)
■ Eira
- Increased the damage of the following attacks by 5%:
- Disruptor Shot
- Disruptor Blast
- Slightly increased the Entropic Rounds' projectile and explosion effect's effective hit range.
- Increased the damage of the following attacks by 8%:
- Bullet Storm
- Bullet Rain
- Bullet Hail
- Gravity Rounds
- Active: Phase Burst
- Active: Infinity Shot
- Active: Quantum Ruin
Developer Comment: Dan-Ah, Belle, Evie, and Eira are currently underperforming in both Usurper's Fortress and circuit raid battles, so we're increasing the damage of their primary skills across the board. |
