[Developer's Note] Revisions to Eriu Gear

Hello. This is DEV Allanon.

First, I would like to express my deep gratitude for the valuable feedback and concerns many of you have shared regarding the 'Eriu Equipment' that was released on the KR Test Server on Wednesday, July 9th.

We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience and confusion this update has caused.

Our development team has been listening closely to your voices, and we have taken your concerns, especially regarding the 'burden of progression' and the 'devaluation of existing investments,' very seriously.

Based on your feedback, we have prepared the following revisions.

The core of these revisions can be summarized in three key points:

  • Removing situations where a specific stat (ATT Surplus) is mandatory for equipment progression.
  • Eliminating unnecessary growth steps, allowing focus solely on the growth of the new equipment.
  • Ensuring that your existing efforts and investments are fully preserved, and that their value translates into a clear and certain advantage.

1. Easing Crafting Conditions for Eriu Equipment

First, we plan to ease the conditions for succession from Uaithne to Eriu equipment.

During succession, the previous requirement for Uaithne equipment to have ‘maxed out on all Tuning stats except ATT Surplus II' will be removed.

Instead, Uaithne equipment will only need to reach 'Legendary' to be eligible for succession into Eriu equipment.

In short, we have lowered the crafting hurdle by removing ATT Surplus as a mandatory requirement for creating Eriu equipment.

2. Adjustments to Eriu Equipment Growth and Stats

We also plan to change the Eriu equipment system so that equipment advancement itself can become a meaningful growth experience.

Previously, after crafting Uaithne equipment, you had to raise stats like ATK, BAL, CRIT, DEF, and CRIT RES through a separate 'Tuning' process before moving on to Eriu equipment.

This has now been improved so that this stat progression occurs throughout the entire Uaithne-to-Eriu gearing progress.

Specifically, the stats that were planned to be provided through the new 'Tuning' on Eriu equipment have been redistributed.

They will now be acquired as the equipment's advancement from 'Beginner' to 'Legendary.'

This is designed so that the process of growth with your equipment is, in itself, the reward.

3. Revamps to Eriu Equipment Tuning & Preservation of Effort

When you perform succession to an Uaithne item, its Tuning status will now carry over directly, removing any need for the basic Tuning and granting you a powerful Eriu equipment immediately.

Those who have already completed their Uaithne equipment's Tuning will skip the entire process,

and while others are tuning their equipment, they will be able to stand at the most advanced starting line, ready to challenge the higher limits of the newly expanded 'ATT Surplus II'.

Most importantly, this ensures that the efforts of those who have already completed their Uaithne equipment Tuning become a definitive advantage.

The succession method for Eriu equipment, which applies to all players, is as follows:

Eriu equipment inherits the exact Equipment Tuning status of the Uaithne equipment used as material, with no adjustments or changes.

For example, if you use an Uaithne weapon with no Tuning, the resulting Eriu weapon will also start with '0' Tuning stats.

If you use an Uaithne weapon with all stats fully tuned (except for ATT Surplus II), the resulting Eriu weapon will also have its ATK, CRIT, BAL, and ATT Surplus I stats fully tuned.

Please note there are absolutely no separate stat adjustments or automatic applications of max Tuning.

The Eriu equipment Tuning system will be changed as follows:

  • The 'ATT Surplus III' category will be removed to reduce the complexity of Tuning.
  • The additional 'ATK/M. ATK', 'BAL', and 'CRIT' Tuning required upon succession to Eriu equipment will be removed.
    • The progression and limits for these stats on Uaithne and Eriu equipment will remain unchanged before and after succession.
  • The maximum limit for 'ATT Surplus II' will be increased to add more depth to growth.
    • The limit is simply being raised; the ATT Surplus II stat from the material equipment will carry over directly to the new equipment.
    • Eriu Weapon: Max 3,000 (Current Uaithne Weapon - Max 1,500)
    • Eriu Helm: Max 880 (Current Uaithne Helm - Max 440)

(* Detailed Tuning tables and materials are the same as in the previous notice.)

We hope these improvements will ease the burden of your progression and allow you to look forward to the new equipment with excitement and enjoyment.

We will continue to humbly accept your valuable feedback and do our best to build a better Vindictus together with you.

Thank you.
