Today, we would like to give you advance notice regarding an issue we identified with the Dye Channels of the 'Special All Curves Blanc Valkyrie Set' and 'Special Blanc Valkyrie Set', our plan to fix it, and how the compensation will be determined.
Here is a summary of the key points:
- The Dye Channel structure of the 'Blanc Valkyrie' outfits will be changed during the August 18 (Tue) maintenance.
- Compensation will be provided to those who, as of August 12 (Wed), 06:40 PM (PDT), owned any of the parts listed below dyed in a color different from its default color.
- Dyes applied after this point are not eligible for compensation, and the affected Color Parts will be reset to their default colors during the August 18 (Tue) maintenance. We recommend dyeing these parts after the August 18 (Tue) maintenance.
What Happened
On the 'Special All Curves/Special Blanc Valkyrie' outfits, the effect and glow areas of certain parts were linked to Dye Channels(Color Parts) differently from what was intended. As a result, even after dyeing these areas, the colors you applied were not displayed as intended.
After confirming the issue, we reviewed how to address it, and we will be changing the Dye Channel structure during the August 18 (Tue) maintenance so that dyes apply as intended. We sincerely apologize for the delay in identifying this issue and informing you.
Changes Coming with the August 18 (Tue) Maintenance
The Dye Channel structure of the 'Special All Curves/Special Blanc Valkyrie' outfits will be changed as follows.
- The areas of the 'Special All Curves/Special Blanc Valkyrie Armor' previously dyed via 'Color Part 5' will now display the color assigned to 'Color Part 3'.
- The effect and glow areas of the 'Special All Curves/Special Blanc Valkyrie Armor' will be separated from the existing 'Color Part 4' and assigned to the existing 'Color Part 5'.
- The effect and glow areas of the 'Special All Curves/Special Blanc Valkyrie Skirt and Arm Gear' will be separated from the existing 'Color Part 4' and assigned to a new 'Color Part 5'.
- After the change, the 'Color Part 4' areas of the Armor, Skirt, and Arm Gear will display the default color of each area, with the effect in the color assigned to 'Color Part 5' blended over it.
Compensation Details
We plan to provide 'Resenlian's Outfit Dye Ampoule (Gift)' to players affected by the Dye Channel changes.
Compensation cutoff: August 12 (Wed), 6:40 PM (PDT) (referred to as 'cutoff' below)
- If, as of the cutoff, you owned a 'Special All Curves/Special Blanc Valkyrie Armor' with its 'Color Part 5' dyed in a color different from its default color: 'Resenlian's Outfit Dye Ampoule (Gift)' x1 will be provided.
- If, as of the cutoff, you owned any of the affected parts (Armor, Skirt, or Arm Gear) with its 'Color Part 4' dyed in a color different from its default color: 'Resenlian's Outfit Dye Ampoule (Gift)' x1 will be provided per each such part.
- Even if you have previously dyed the relevant 'Color Part' in a different color, compensation is determined solely based on the color actually applied as of the cutoff.
- Compensation will be sent via Character Mail to the characters holding the outfits during the August 18 (Tue) maintenance. Please check your mail to claim it.
Examples of possible compensation cases
- As of the cutoff, you owned a 'Special Blanc Valkyrie Armor' with its 'Color Part 4' dyed in a color different from its default color → 'Resenlian's Outfit Dye Ampoule (Gift)' x1
- As of the cutoff, you owned a 'Special Blanc Valkyrie Armor' with its 'Color Part 5' dyed in a color different from its default color → 'Resenlian's Outfit Dye Ampoule (Gift)' x1
- As of the cutoff, you owned a 'Special Blanc Valkyrie Armor' with 'Color Part 4' and 'Color Part 5' each dyed in a color different from its default color → 'Resenlian's Outfit Dye Ampoule (Gift)' x2
- As of the cutoff, you owned a 'Special Blanc Valkyrie Skirt' and a 'Special Blanc Valkyrie Arm Gear', each with its 'Color Part 4' dyed in a color different from its default color → 'Resenlian's Outfit Dye Ampoule (Gift)' x2
- You dyed the 'Color Part 4' of a 'Special Blanc Valkyrie Armor' in a color different from its default color, duplicated it with a 'Clone Outfit Crafting Box', and owned both as of the cutoff → 'Resenlian's Outfit Dye Ampoule (Gift)' x2
About the Compensation Cutoff
These changes were applied to the KR Server today, and the details of the changes and compensation are currently made public. The compensation cutoff above corresponds to that moment.
If dyes applied after the details became public are also eligible for compensation, it could be exploited in ways that go against the purpose of this compensation. To keep the standard fair for everyone, the same cutoff applies equally to all service regions. This is to ensure that everyone who dyed these parts without knowing about the issue is fully compensated. We appreciate your understanding.
Please Note
- Dyes applied to the relevant 'Color Parts' after the cutoff are not eligible for compensation. In addition, the affected 'Color Parts' will be reset to their default colors during the August 18 (Tue) maintenance, so we recommend dyeing these parts once the maintenance is complete.
- If you purchase any of these outfits from the Marketplace after the cutoff, the colors applied to the purchased outfit will also be reset to the default colors during the August 18 (Tue) maintenance, and no Ampoule compensation will be provided for it.
- In rare cases, depending on the exact timing of the dye, compensation may not be provided properly for dyes applied shortly before the cutoff. If you dyed an affected part before the cutoff but do not receive compensation after the August 18 (Tue) maintenance, please submit a support ticket and we will review your case individually.
Once again, we sincerely apologize for the inconvenience caused by not identifying this issue in advance. We will be more thorough so that similar issues do not happen again.
