The Teide has arrived, and Hurk's newest weapon is hitting with a bang! Take a look at the newest weapon style, get a peek at the new Primal Flame weapons in the Hero's Lucky Box and take part in some new events and more!


New Weapon Style: Teide

In the past, Hurk's been known for being as subtle as, well, an eight foot long sword pounding a goblin into the ground. The Teide combat style changes little on that front, but trades the massive greatsword in for a longsword and a heavy shotgun.

Hurk's Normal Attacks to strike at foes with the sword, wounding them and making them more vulnerable to further strikes. Meanwhile his Smash attacks will fire his shotgun, dealing massive damage to enemies in front of him at close to medium range. As mighty as the shotgun is, it still needs shells to shoot. These shots can be loaded one at a time during a dodge or right before a shotgun blast, or two at once when using the Dodge command while standing still.


Teide Standard Skills

Like all of Vindictus' mercenaries, Hurk's new weapon comes with a plethora of new abilities. Hurk's Passive Skills will let the warrior tear into his foes. This includes Lacerate, where a sharp blade can open up gaping wounds in the enemy, preparing them for the shotgun's finishing blow, and Shotgun Mastery, opening up more multi-hit Smash combos, letting you get more work done before needing to regroup.

Skill Name Lacerate
Training Requirements
  • Level 10
Skill Rank Effects
  • Decreases the number of hits needed to apply Flesh Wound, Open Wound and Gaping Wound (min. of 3, 5 and 7 hits, respectively)
  • Max Rank: Rank A
Activation Passive
Effects
  • Applies Flesh Wound, Open Wound and Gaping Wound to enemies damaged by Hurk's sword
  • Extends the duration of existing Wounds by 2 seconds

  • Increases bonus damage (max of +15%)

Effects
  • Enemies with Flesh Wound take additional damage from Hurk's shotgun blasts
  • Applied via Normal Attacks (via Lacerate)
  • Flesh Wound lasts for 20 seconds, unless reapplied by more sword strikes

  • Allows for additional reloads (max of 2 bonus reloads)

Effects
  • Loads two shots into the Shotgun
  • At higher ranks, allows additional reloads
  • Does not give any defensive benefits

  • Decreases Stamina cost of Smash (Shotgun) attacks (Max of 6 Stamina reduction)
  • Rank E: Allows 5-hit Smash
  • Rank C: Allows 6-hit Smash
  • Rank A: Allows for a Smash Attack while using Barrel Roll
  • Max Rank: Rank A
Activation Passive
Effects
  • Enables additional Smash Attacks and reduces Stamina cost of Smash Attacks
  • All Smash Attacks use the Shotgun to deal damage

Skill Rank Effects
  • Reduces the Barrel's overhead duration (min. of 3 seconds)
  • Max Rank: Rank A
Activation [Switch Attack Mode]
Effects
  • Activates Double Shot mode, which fires two consecutive shots with each Smash Attack
  • Repeated Smash Attacks will begin to overheat the barrel
  • Overheating the barrel disables Smash attacks for a short period and returns the Attack Mode to Single Shot

Skill Name Open Wound
Training Requirements
  • Level 18
Skill Rank Effects
  • Increases bonus damage (max of +25%)
  • Max Rank: Rank A
Activation Passive
Effects
  • Enemies with Open Wound take additional damage from Hurk's shotgun blasts
  • Applied via Normal Attacks (via Lacerate) against a target with an active Flesh Wound
  • Open Wound lasts for 15 seconds, unless reapplied by more sword strikes
  • If Open Wound expires, it becomes a Flesh Wound

  • Increases bonus damage (max of +25%)

Activation (During Barrel Roll) [Dodge]
Effects
  • Enabled Enhanced Bullets to be loaded into the Shotgun if Dodge is pressed at the correct point during a Barrel Roll
  • Enhanced Bullets do additional damage
  • If the shotgun is already fully loaded, regular bullets will be replaced with Enhanced Bullets

Skill Name Gaping Wound
Training Requirements
  • Level 28
Skill Rank Effects
  • Increases bonus damage (max of +35%)
  • Max Rank: Rank A
Activation Passive
Effects
  • Enemies with Gaping Wound take additional damage from Hurk's shotgun blasts
  • Applied via Normal Attacks (via Lacerate) against a target with an active Open Wound
  • Gaping Wound lasts for 10 seconds, unless reapplied by more sword strikes
  • If Gaping Wound expires, it becomes a Open Wound

Teide Active Skills

Active Skills bring an additional power boost when you need it most at the cost of SP. Be it Split Slash, opening heavy wounds in your foes, setting them up for a heavy shotgun blast, or True Shot, giving Hurk a shooter mode to blast the enemy into pieces, Hurk has plenty of ways to burn his SP, much to the Fomor's dismay.

Activation
  • Enter True Shot: Active Ability Quick Slot
  • Aim: Camera controls
  • Fire: [Smash Attack]
  • Exit True Shot: [Normal Attack] or [Dodge]
Effects
  • Consumes 100 SP per shot
  • 10 second Cooldown per shot fired
  • Raises the Shotgun to a ready position, bringing up crosshairs to aim with via Camera controls
  • Use Smash Attacks to fire the Shotgun, dealing heavy damage with an increased range
  • A new round is loaded after every shot
  • SP is consumed and Cooldown is applied with each shot fired
  • Cannot move or use Active Abilities while in True Shot mode
  • Use Normal Attack or Dodge to exit True Shot mode, damage will also force you out of True Shot mode
  • Can still consume Potions while in True Shot mode

  • No Cooldown
  • Hurk spins forward with a quick slash attack
  • Active Wounds on damaged targets will be extended
  • Also restores Stamina on a successful strike

Skill Name Active: Wicked Shot
Training Requirements
  • Level 30
  • 1,000 Gold

  • +5% Damage (Max of 35%)

Activation Active Ability Quick Slot
Effects
  • Consumes 500 SP
  • 120 second Cooldown
  • Loads an Enhanced Bullet and fires it, dealing heavy damage
  • Round fired will be an Enhanced Bullet, regardless of what was in the first bullet slot when the ability is activated

Teide Ultimate Skill

Finally, his Ultimate Skill is no slouch either. After a quick slash to stun his target, the Active: Desperado ability has Hurk follow the strike up with a a series of two-handed blows with his blade, finishing the enemy off with a massive, overcharged shotgun blast.

  • Hurk strikes an opponent with a single, heavy sword strike
  • If successful, the enemy is stunned, and Hurk will follow up with several additional strikes, followed by a final, empowered Shotgun blast

  • Vindicator's Box: Removed from the Supply Depot. Vindicator Coupons can still be acquired from the Hero's Lucky Box
  • Fixed a typo in Hurk's prologue
  • Fixed an issue where players were unable to complete the storyline Source
  • Fixed an issue where Crossgun Kai's Revolving skills could not be used when active path skills are in Quick Slots 1, 2, 3.
