1. New Character: Kael

  • Added Kael, the 17th hero of Vindictus.
    • The new character, Kael, is a knight who uses a swordstaff.

  • Added Kael's character background story.

  • Added the introduction and skill preview videos during character creation.

  • Added weapon items exclusive for Kael.
    • Swordstaff

  • Kael, the 17th hero, will appear on the game title screen.

  • Added equipment items exclusive for Kael.
    • Divine Unrest Set
    • Divine Order Set

  • Added exclusive equipment for Kael in Expertise.
    • Swordstaves, weapons exclusive to Kael, can be crafted using the Weaponsmithing Expertise.
    • The Divine Unrest Set, exclusive armor for Kael, can be crafted using the Tailoring Expertise.
    • The Divine Order Set, exclusive armor for Kael, can be crafted using the Armorsmithing Expertise.

 

[Partholon Vanguard]

  • Kael can perform Vanguard Missions upon reaching Lv. 100.

  • Added Vanguard Missions that require specialties of Kael's.

 

[Friendship System]

  • Added Kael, the 17th merc.
    • He will appear in the Mercenary Lounge.
    • You can talk and depart for missions with him.
    • Friendship Achievements related to him have been added.
    • You can have chance encounters with him in Colhen.

  • Added short storylines for him. These stories can be experienced by developing your relationship with him.

 

[Voice Emotes]

  • Added 20 voice emotes for Kael.
    • You can preview voice emotes for Kael under the Emote window's Emotes tab.
    • Voice emotes can be purchased with Friendship Seals from the Friendship Seal Shop.

 

[Other Voices]

  • Added special conversation voices between characters for Kael.
    • If Kael is in the party, special conversations will be automatically triggered based on who else is present.
    • Conversation voices will be triggered while waiting to depart for battle when eligible characters join the party.

 

 

2. New Comrade: Claire

  • Added the new comrade, Claire.
    • By training Battle Region Specialty VIII, Comrade: Claire can get her stats boosted even in Fort Cessair and Mount Celsina regions. She can earn up to ATT +1350, Critical +6, and ADD DMG +1000.

  • You can choose the outfit for Comrade: Claire among the basic, All Curves Golden Knight, and Hardline Officer outfits through the Change Outfit for each part.

 

2-1. Comrade Transfer System

  • Added the Comrade Transfer system which allows transferring comrades to another character within your account.
    • For a comrade in an Eternal Contract, you can use 5000 AP to end the contract and obtain an contract for comrades that is transferable within your account. Example: if you are transferring a Comrade: Succubus, you will obtain an account shareable version of Comrade: Succubus.
    • Please note that each comrade can only be transferred once and cannot be transferred again.
    • Please beware that, when you transfer a comrade, all skills for that comrade will be reset.

 

 

3. New Battle: Ainle at Stake

  • Added a new battle, Ainle at Stake.
    • You can depart (solo) starting at Lv. 100 in the Red Moon's Energy region under Toward Taratha.
    • You can claim victory in this battle twice a day.
    • The existing Daily Bonus applies.

  • Battles Bathed in Red and Ainle at Stake, under the Red Moon's Energy region, will rotate each day.

  • Added the Battle Specialty II skill, which applies only in the new battle, Ainle at Stake.
    • Only applies in the battle Ainle at Stake.
    • You can train the skill by spending the character's AP--the same way as existing skills.
    • When you reach the highest rank for the skill, the comrade will have Additional Damage +1000 and Action Speed +20% applied.
    • If you are in an Eternal Contract with Comrade: Claire, the skill can be learned by other comrades as well.

 

 

4. Character Rankings Merge and Ranking Score

■ Character Rankings Merge

  • Revamped Character Rankings into merged rankings under two different categories: ATT-based characters and M. ATT-based characters.
    • Can be checked under Character Info (C) like before.

  • As the Character Rankings are merged under two categories, the number of players for Hall of Honor and Real Time Rankings are adjusted as below.
    • ATT-Based Characters
      • Hall of Honor: 200
      • Real Time Rankings: 1000
    • M. ATT-Based Characters
      • Hall of Honor: 100
      • Real Time Rankings: 500

  • Adjusted the stat growth to be the same for all ATT-based characters.
    • Adjusted Lann, Karok, Kai, Vella, Hurk, and Lynn characters.

  • Removed Evie's Magic Mastery skill and Sylas's Phantom Mastery skill.
    • All AP applied toward these skills will be returned.

  • In the case of special character-specific titles, increased stats and obtained points do not count toward the Ranking Score.

  • Added the Same Characters feature under Character Rankings.
    • Same Characters feature can be used while checking the Real Time Rankings.
    • When you have Same Characters turned on, rankings for characters that are the same as yours will be highlighted, and you can see the equipment only for the highlighted characters that are the same as yours.
      • When you turn Same Characters off, you can also see the equipment of other characters.

 

■ Character Ranking Score

  • Changed the Character Ranking Score calculation method.

  • Ranking Score from Balance will now reflect up to 105 Balance.
    • If your Balance exceeds 105, no Ranking Score will be reflected from the excess.

  • Changed the Ranking Score increase for every 1 Critical Resistance from 50 pts. to 125 pts.

  • Changed the Ranking Score increase for every 1 ATT Surplus from 5 pts. to 4 pts.
    • Weighted values will be reflected in the Ranking Score, based on the composited equipment's level.
      • Lv. 90 Equipment: No level bonus is applied, and 4 pts. will increase for every 1 ATT Surplus.
      • Lv. 95 Equipment: Level bonus is applied, and 5.2 pts. will increase for every 1 ATT Surplus.
      • Lv. 100 Equipment: Level bonus is applied, and 6.4 pts. will increase for every 1 ATT Surplus.
      • Lv. 105 Equipment: Level bonus is applied, and 7.6 pts. will increase for every 1 ATT Surplus.

  • The changed Ranking Score will be newly reflected when the character logs in.

 

 

5. Enhancement Stats and Enhancement Failure Bonus System

■ Enhancement Stat Adjustment

  • Increased the Additional Damage increments from successful enhancements than before, for weapon enhancement levels +1 - +15.

  • Decreased the Additional Damage, ATT/M. ATT, and Attack Speed increments from successful enhancements than before, for weapon enhancement levels +17 - +20.

  • * Additional Damage, ATT/M. ATT, and Attack Speed increments for +16 weapon items will remain the same as before.

■ Enhancement Failure Bonus System

  • Bonus stats will be applied in cases where you attempted and failed enhancement on an item that can be reforged.

  • Based on the number of enhancement failures, up to 60% of the stats that would have additionally increased from a successful enhancement will apply.

  • Bonus stats will be reset upon a successful enhancement.

 

 

6. Others Changes

■ Character Balance Value Surplus

  • If your Balance stat exceeds 90, every 3 Balance exceeding 90 will be applied as 1.
    • Max Balance is now 95. Example: +3 BAL = 91 BAL in total, +6 BAL = 92 BAL in total, +9 BAL = 93 BAL in total, etc. (If at 105, the max 5 will be applied.)

 

■ Material Synthesis

  • Changed the ATT Surplus's (formerly called ATT Limit Removal) increment per stage as below, when performing Material Synthesis.
    • Values for existing synthesized items will also change according to the synthesis stage.

  • ATT Surplus stats applied to composited equipment will be reflected differently based on the difference between the equipment level and the boss monster's level.
    • If the equipment level is the same as or above the boss monster's level, ATT Surplus applies at 100%.
    • If the equipment level is 5 levels lower than the boss monster's level, ATT Surplus applies at 90%.
    • If the equipment level is 10+ levels lower than the boss monster's level, ATT Surplus applies at 80%.
    • Changed so that details on the boss level and the actually applied ATT Surplus stats are shown under the Battle Info window.
    • * Does not affect Ein Lacher/Guild Dungeon/Friendship Missions where ATT Surplus does not apply.

 

■ Battle Convenience

  • Changed so that the effects for the following skills are affected by the Effects Transparency (Players) setting.

  • Changed so that you can directly enter the RGB color in the area for color selection under the character creation screen and the Avatar Shop screen.

  • When automatically equipping a ring while you have rings equipped in all Ring Slots, it will now be equipped in the slot that had the lower level ring equipped.
    • Same rules will apply to bracelets as well.

  • Changed so that the equipment item you obtain is not automatically equipped. (Excludes Avatar Shop/Outfitter Shop purchases)

  • Changed so that the consumable item you obtain is not automatically added to the Quick Slot.

 

■ Pet

  • You can choose one selective Pet Effect each under Bonus Effect 1 and Bonus Effect 2.
    • You can use each of the pet effects you chose in battle.

  • Fixed the issue where the "Increases equipped secondary weapon quantity" Pet Effect did not actually apply in battle.

  • Fixed the issue where Pet Effects you have yet to get were not displayed in the Pet Encyclopedia UI.

 

■ Battle

  • Fixed the issue where you could not depart for Royal Army battles from the Guild House.

  • Fixed the issue where you could not change pets while on the fishing boat.

  • Fixed the issue in the battle Clan of Darkness, where Nyle's special pattern (which activates when all party members are under the Shackled status effect) triggered consecutively when he had no tenacity.

  • Fix the issue where the Friendship Skill's Quick Slot activation state, which was set while waiting for departure, was not applied upon departing for battle.

  • Changed the Royal Army battle's starting player count to 12.

  • Changed the timing when Miri transforms back from the Dragon Knight form when using the Destined: Dragon Fury skill.

  • Fixed the issue where Neit's hitbox was awkward in the battle Sea of Reflection.

  • Fixed the issue where sometimes the client would become "not responding" upon retrying battle.

  • The list of all guild members will now be deactivated under the Guild UI in battle.

      • Made improvements to the issue where the attack hitbox was abnormal due to the momentary frame drops that occurred when you opened UI in battle.
      • Fixed the issue where the average price did not display for some durational items.

 

■ Character

  • Fixed the issue where the accumulated Breathless Rush stacks were reset when Arisha (Spellwhip) used Path Transformation.

  • Fixed the issue where the Steal/Grasp damage against normal monsters was abnormal, if Arisha (Spellwhip) used Active: Fierce Rondo after Path Transformation.

  • Fixed the issue where the Cold-Hearted stacks would sometimes reset in situations where Vella (Twin Chainblades) restarted the battle.

  • Changed so that Karok will no longer take damage from special attacks from the ground, if he is in Clash or in Clash winning motions.

  • Fixed the issue where you could not start the battle, if Evie's Create Golem was used at the starting location of battle Surprise Attack.

  • Fixed the issue where you could not deplete the tenacity of some boss monsters after Karok lost in Clash.

 

■ Story

  • Fixed the issue where you could not move to town due to an NPC conversation error while progressing through Pact: Mission and Faith storyline.

  • Fixed the issue where the Do you want to try Compositing? tutorial would sometimes not progress properly.

  • Fixed the issue where the Additional Damage was applied as 0 if you used NPC transformation while progressing through the Interlude.
    • Changed so that Additional Damage would apply as a fixed value of 5000 while transformed into an NPC.

 

■ Items

  • Changed so that stats unrelated to your character would no longer display during Material Synthesis.

  • Changed the Gathering Proficiency that allows for gathering from Glowing Luminaries from 90 to 30.

  • Fixed the issue where the item grade did not show as Rare for the Rare Tail Destiny Box (Account Shareable), which was one of the rewards from Gremlin's Check-In.

  • Fixed the issue where the tail's color was not properly reflected if you previewed items from the Shaggy Puppy Tail Destiny Box.

 

■ Accessory Enhancement

  • Changed the enhancement success rates for Lv. 85 and Lv. 90 accessories.
    • Changed success rates for +1 - +18 enhancement attempts to 100%.
    • Increased success rates for +19 and +20 enhancements.

 

■ Dressing Room

  • Fixed the issue where the display did not match between the actually selected dye slot and the [Dye Slot] UI on the left, in the Appearance Settings area.

  • Fixed the issue where the image quality looked degraded for the equipment worn while using the Dressing Room.

 

■ Misc.

  • Content Ranking guide will now end.
    • Content Ranking button will be removed from the Menu (Shortcut Key: T).
    • The following titles, which were given according to Free Match rankings, will also be removed.

      • Free Match Contender

  • Fixed the issue where the Partholon Vanguard button did not become active if you opened the Character window (Shortcut Key: C) immediately upon logging into the game.

  • Fixed the issue where the Members Online tab's list did not get updated when a guild member logged in.

  • Fixed the issue where the Skill window (Shortcut Key: V) scrolling displayed strangely.

  • Fixed the issue where whisper messages were sometimes sent to another character in the account.

  • Now supporting the feature to save UI position according to the resolution.

  • Fixed the issue where some parts of the hair or face were obscured if you zoomed in all the way in the Avatar Shop as Hurk or Grimden.

  • The sale of Elite Character Slots will end after maintenance on 11/17 (Tue.). 26 basic character slots will be provided.

  • Halloween season has ended, and the town returned to its usual state.

  • The One Day Attendance Check-In Event will end after maintenance on 11/17 (Tue.).

  • Removed the insufficient memory warning message and made improvements to some memory issues.

  • Developer Comment: Memory situations are different based on resolution and other circumstances. We also found issues, such as causing even more accelerated insufficient memory issues, in certain cases. We have decided to remove this feature. We will make further improvements and provide information in the future. In addition, we fixed some memory issues and made improvements, though they may not be visibly seen.

 

■ Graphics

  • Fixed the issue where the Prologue battle area looked dark after character creation.

  • Fixed the issue where other players' comrades would still abnormally show even when you set the "Display Your Comrade" option.

  • Fixed the issue where the weapon color would sometimes show differently after canceling Path Transformation.

  • Adjusted the detailed settings within each step from Lowest to Highest, which is set under Menu (Shortcut Key: T) > Options > Video > Advanced > Graphics Settings > Simple Settings.
    • In the past, there was discrepancy between the displayed name and the detailed settings, such as having slightly low detailed settings despite saying Highest. We adjusted and made improvements to this.

  • Changed the facial appearance of Inquisitor Claire, the boss monster in battle Surprise Attack.

  • Fixed the issue where the color looked the same for the ribbon and the scalp when Belle equipped See-Through Bangs and Ponytail.

  • Fixed the issue where the front bangs would be buried under the face when Belle used Path Transformation into a Paladin while equipping See-Through Bangs and Ponytail.

  • Fixed the issue where the inner armor's graphics appeared broken when wearing the Special Marathon Missy Jacket and certain inner armors.

  • Fixed the issue where the back part displayed strangely when wearing Special Marathon Missy Jacket and Special Fox Oracle Bottom.

  • Fixed the issue where the abdominal part displayed strangely when wearing the All Curves Bunny Babe outfit while having the lowest Body Fat settings.

 

■ Comrade

  • Changed the color of the inner armor that shows when you select the Mini Wedding Dress Camisole/Ruffle Skirt under Comrade: Neamhain's Change Outfit: Part 2 skill.
