Commonly Mistaken Item Properties

Understanding the item propertied listed in the tooltip is essential to using items properly.

The following guide is additional context for those who are still confused on the difference between each item property.

■ Item Tradability

Trades within Vindictus are divided into two categories: Trade between accounts & Trade within accounts.

• Trade between accounts: Trading via Marketplace and Mail between two different players.
• Trade within accounts: Trading via Shared Storage or Account mail between two characters within the same account.

The next part is about the item tradability details in the tooltips, which decide which type of trade is possible.

■ Item Bind Properties

Even if an equipment is tradable, it cannot be traded once it is bound to a character.

In this case, you can unbind the item to make it tradable again.

An item will be bound to a character when at least one of the following conditions are met:

• Successful Enhancement above enhancement level +9
• Successful Enchantment above enchantment rank +9
• Quality is increased from 4★ to 5★
• Fusion
• When an item that fulfills at least one of the conditions of 5★, +9 enhancement, enchantment rank 9, or fusion qualities is moved between characters
• Material Synthesis

When the item is bound to a character, you can use the Unbind Potion to change its bind property.

However, an item can only be unbound up to three times.

Bind level refers to the amount of Unbind Potions required to unbind. This quantity will vary depending on the item's properties.

The bind level of each item can be calculated by adding up each quality the item fits to.

By using the Additional Unbinding Coupon, you can increase the remaining unbind count above the given default three times.

However, you can only apply it on items with unbind counts under 2, and that has not been restored.

■ How to use Airtight/Box items

There are items in Vindictus that include "Airtight" or "Box" keywords on their names.

These items also follow their tooltip description for its tradability.

1. Airtight/Box items that is only 'Account Sharable'

• Airtight/Box items that can be shared within the account, can be shared by account mail or Shared Storage.
• Some contents of the box are no longer tradable once they are claimed. Please open Airtight/Box items with the character that you will actually use the contents.

2. Airtight/Box items that are 'Marketplace Tradable(1x)' or 'Can use Shared Storage'

• Airtight/Box items that can be traded in the marketplace once, or shared to other characters within the account via Shared Storage.
• These items can no longer be traded once they are stored in Shared Storage. Please take caution before moving the items with this property.

3. Airtight/Box items that bind to the character if purchased at the Marketplace

• Airtight/Box items that can only be traded once through the Marketplace, and once bought cannot be listed in the Marketplace again.
